Kaleo- it means to be called or the calling
As followers of Christ we all have a calling on our lives. That does not necessarily mean that all
have to be called into full time ministry. It means whatever we do, whether it is being a teacher,
doctor, an office administrator, or the local garbage man, we all have a calling on our lives. That
calling is to fulfill the Great Commission, which is to Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all things that I have commanded you; (Matthew 28:18-20)
